Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy
This online store is operated by ORIVISX LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales ("ORIVISX", "we", "us" or "our").
ORIVISX LTD is committed to conducting its business in a transparent, responsible and lawful manner and to preventing its products and services from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud or other unlawful activities.
Due to the nature and value of precious metals, investment products and collectible coins, we apply risk-based Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), sanctions screening and transaction monitoring procedures, taking into account applicable United Kingdom, European Union and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
1. Customer Registration and Identification
Purchases through our online store are available only to registered customers. Each registered customer is associated with an individual customer account and transaction history.
Depending on the value, nature and risk profile of a transaction or customer, we may require additional information and documentation in order to verify the customer's identity and assess the transaction.
Such information may include, where appropriate:
- full name, date of birth and residential address;
- a valid passport, national identity card or other government-issued identification document;
- proof of residential address;
- information regarding the purpose and nature of a transaction;
- information or supporting documentation regarding the source of funds or source of wealth;
- information regarding beneficial ownership where the customer is a company or other legal entity;
- information regarding the origin of funds used for a transaction; and
- any additional information or documentation reasonably required for AML, KYC, sanctions or fraud-prevention purposes.
We reserve the right to require identity verification before accepting or completing a transaction where this is required by applicable law, our internal risk assessment, our banking or payment partners, or other relevant compliance requirements.
2. Transaction Monitoring and Cumulative Purchase Limits
We monitor transactions associated with each registered customer and track the cumulative value of purchases made through the customer's account.
Transactions are not necessarily assessed only on an individual order basis. Multiple transactions made by the same customer may be aggregated and assessed together for AML/KYC monitoring purposes.
This enables us to identify transaction patterns that may indicate an attempt to divide a larger transaction into several smaller transactions in order to avoid applicable identification, verification or reporting requirements.
Where an applicable threshold is reached, or where a customer's cumulative transaction volume or transaction pattern requires additional review, further transactions may be suspended until the required AML/KYC verification has been successfully completed.
We may also conduct a manual review of unusual transaction patterns even where a specific monetary threshold has not been reached.
3. Risk-Based Customer Due Diligence
Customer due diligence is carried out on a risk-sensitive basis. The level of verification required may depend on factors including the transaction value, payment method, customer's country of residence, transaction history, nature of the products purchased and other relevant risk indicators.
Additional or enhanced due diligence may be required regardless of the transaction amount where a customer, payment method or transaction presents an increased AML, fraud, sanctions or other compliance risk.
Enhanced checks may include:
- additional identity verification;
- verification of residential address;
- verification of the source of funds;
- verification of source of wealth where appropriate;
- additional information concerning the purpose of the transaction;
- beneficial ownership verification;
- sanctions screening;
- politically exposed person (PEP) screening; and
- additional transaction or payment verification.
4. Payments
Payments should normally originate from the customer placing the order or from another legitimate and identifiable source that can be satisfactorily explained and verified.
We may request additional information concerning the origin of a payment, particularly where the name of the payer does not correspond with the name of the registered customer.
We reserve the right to reject unidentified or unexplained third-party payments, request additional supporting information or require an alternative payment method.
We do not accept cash payments for online orders.
5. Payments Using Virtual Assets
Virtual assets may be offered solely as an alternative method of payment for goods purchased through our online store.
ORIVISX LTD does not provide cryptocurrency investment, cryptocurrency trading, virtual asset custody or virtual asset management services to its customers.
We do not hold or manage virtual assets on behalf of customers.
Where a customer chooses to pay for goods using a supported virtual asset, we intend to use SpectroCoin or another appropriately selected virtual asset payment service provider to process the payment.
Virtual assets received in connection with the purchase of goods are intended to be converted into fiat currency and the resulting fiat funds transferred to the company's account. Virtual assets are not intended to be accumulated or held by ORIVISX LTD for investment or speculative purposes.
Virtual asset payments may be subject to additional verification, transaction monitoring, blockchain analysis, sanctions screening or other compliance procedures performed by us and/or the relevant virtual asset payment service provider.
We reserve the right to refuse a virtual asset payment where the transaction cannot be satisfactorily verified or where it presents an unacceptable legal, regulatory, sanctions, fraud or AML risk.
6. Precious Metal and Coin Buyback
Where ORIVISX LTD offers a buyback service for investment precious metals, bullion products, collectible coins or similar products, the seller may be required to successfully complete identity and AML/KYC verification before the purchase is completed.
As part of the buyback process, we may request:
- valid identification of the seller;
- proof of the seller's residential address where appropriate;
- information regarding the origin and ownership of the products;
- the original purchase invoice or other proof of acquisition, where available;
- proof of the original payment for the products, where available;
- information regarding how and when the seller acquired the products; and
- additional supporting information where required by our risk assessment.
Products offered for buyback may be inspected and tested by us in order to establish their authenticity, weight, purity, condition and other relevant characteristics.
We reserve the right to refuse a buyback transaction where the authenticity of the product, identity of the seller, ownership or origin of the product, or other circumstances of the transaction cannot be satisfactorily verified.
Buyback payments will normally be made by a traceable payment method to a bank account held in the name of the verified seller.
Anonymous buyback transactions are not accepted.
7. Sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons
Where appropriate, customers, sellers, beneficial owners and other relevant persons may be screened against applicable financial sanctions lists and databases concerning politically exposed persons (PEPs).
A person being identified as a politically exposed person does not automatically prevent that person from becoming a customer. However, the relationship or transaction may be subject to enhanced due diligence and additional approval or verification.
We will not knowingly conduct a transaction that would breach applicable financial sanctions or other legal restrictions.
8. Structured and Linked Transactions
We monitor customer transactions for possible structuring or other attempts to avoid applicable AML/KYC requirements.
For example, a customer making several smaller purchases instead of one larger purchase may have those transactions treated as linked transactions and assessed cumulatively.
Relevant factors may include transaction timing, total transaction value, customer identity, delivery address, payment information, transaction behaviour and other information reasonably available to us.
Transactions that appear to have been deliberately structured to avoid verification requirements may be suspended or rejected and may trigger additional customer due diligence.
9. Suspicious or Unusual Transactions
We monitor transactions for unusual or potentially suspicious activity.
Circumstances that may result in additional review include, without limitation:
- unusual transaction patterns;
- multiple apparently linked transactions;
- attempts to circumvent customer verification requirements;
- unexplained third-party payments;
- information provided by the customer being inconsistent with the transaction;
- unwillingness to provide reasonably requested AML/KYC documentation;
- unexplained or unusual virtual asset transactions;
- transactions involving higher-risk jurisdictions;
- concerns regarding the origin or ownership of precious metals or coins offered for buyback; or
- any other circumstances giving rise to reasonable AML, sanctions or fraud concerns.
Where appropriate, we may delay, suspend, reject or cancel a transaction while additional information or documentation is being reviewed.
Where applicable law requires ORIVISX LTD to submit information or a report to a competent authority, such reporting may be carried out without notification to the affected customer where disclosure is prohibited or restricted by law.
10. Source of Funds and Source of Wealth
In certain circumstances we may require customers to provide information concerning the source of funds used for a transaction and, where appropriate, their source of wealth.
Supporting documentation may include, depending on the circumstances:
- bank statements;
- employment or salary documentation;
- business income documentation;
- tax documentation;
- sale or purchase agreements;
- inheritance documentation;
- investment or dividend documentation; or
- other documents reasonably demonstrating the legitimate origin of the funds.
The documentation requested will depend on the circumstances of the transaction and the relevant risk assessment.
11. Corporate Customers and Beneficial Ownership
Where the customer is a company or another legal entity, we may request information and documentation concerning the entity itself and the individuals who ultimately own or control it.
This may include:
- company registration documents;
- registered office information;
- information regarding directors and authorised representatives;
- shareholder information;
- ultimate beneficial owner information; and
- identification documents for relevant individuals.
12. Refusal or Suspension of Transactions
ORIVISX LTD reserves the right to refuse, delay, suspend or cancel any order, payment, buyback transaction or customer relationship where:
- required AML/KYC information has not been provided;
- the information provided cannot be satisfactorily verified;
- there are reasonable concerns regarding the origin of funds or products;
- the transaction presents an unacceptable sanctions, fraud or AML risk;
- the transaction would breach applicable law or regulatory requirements; or
- our banking, payment or compliance partners are unable or unwilling to process the transaction.
We are not required to complete a transaction solely because an order has been submitted through the website.
13. Cooperation with Banks, Payment Providers and Authorities
In order to operate our business and process payments, we may work with banks, payment institutions, virtual asset payment service providers and other regulated service providers.
Where permitted or required by applicable law, relevant information may be provided to such partners for purposes including identity verification, payment processing, fraud prevention, AML compliance and sanctions screening.
We may also cooperate with competent law enforcement, regulatory, tax, customs or financial intelligence authorities where required by law.
14. Record Keeping
We maintain appropriate records relating to customer identification, transactions, payments and supporting AML/KYC documentation for the period required under applicable law.
Such information is stored and processed in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy requirements.
15. Data Protection
Personal information collected for AML/KYC purposes may include identity information, identification documents, address information, payment information, transaction history, source of funds information and other information necessary for legal and compliance purposes.
Such information will be processed only where there is an appropriate legal basis and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
16. Ongoing Monitoring
Successful completion of an initial verification does not prevent ORIVISX LTD from requesting further information or documentation at a later date.
Customer relationships and transaction activity may be subject to ongoing monitoring. We may request updated identification documents or additional information where information previously provided becomes outdated, where customer activity changes materially, or where required by law or our risk-management procedures.
17. Customer Responsibility
Customers are required to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when requested.
Customers must not knowingly use our services for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, concealment of criminal proceeds or any other unlawful purpose.
Customers must not deliberately divide or structure transactions in order to avoid identification, verification, monitoring or reporting requirements.
18. Changes to this AML/KYC Policy
Our AML/KYC procedures are reviewed periodically and may be amended to reflect changes in applicable legislation, regulatory guidance, banking requirements, payment-provider requirements, our products and services or the risk profile of our business.
We may update this page without prior individual notification where appropriate. The current version published on our website will apply from the date stated below.
19. Legal and Regulatory Scope
Our AML/KYC controls are applied on a risk-based basis having regard to the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to ORIVISX LTD and to the jurisdictions in which we conduct business.
Specific verification requirements and applicable thresholds may therefore vary depending on factors such as the customer's jurisdiction, transaction value, transaction type, payment method and other relevant circumstances.
Nothing on this page should be interpreted as limiting our ability or obligation to perform additional verification where required by applicable law or where reasonably necessary for compliance or risk-management purposes.
